Open Play

Get out and play with other pickleball enthusiasts a couple days per week! Open play is a great way to meet new friends and hone your skills. You don’t need to gather a group of friends to go play, you can just show up by yourself and get in on a game. The rules and etiquette for each location may be different. Some locations have special paddle hanging systems to get in on games and some locations just leave it up to you to jump in. Don’t be shy, pickleballers are friendly and fun.

Outdoor courts

Mount Ogden (Ogden) outdoor courts:

  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 AM-Noon
  • Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5-dusk
  • Saturday mornings from 7 AM-Noon

Please be aware of the Open Play rules and etiquette at Mt. Ogden. When all the courts are filled, at the conclusion of every game all four players leave the court. Players who are waiting place their paddles on the paddle board. The next four paddles in line proceed to the open court. If you need a rest or want to mix up the groups a bit, don’t put your paddle back on the board until you are ready to get into the rotation. Please put your name on your paddle and do NOT move anyone else’s paddle. If courts are not full, but players are waiting, it would be courteous for those on court to invite the waiting players to rotate into their games. The main goal is MIX IT UP!
